You might be a great fit for one of our part time Guest Relations Team Member positions! Previous hospitality or customer service industry related or unrelated work experience is helpful. Earn $10/hr., while enjoying our positive work culture, and team environment, and FREE downtown parking! Every season at the Zoo is fun, so working year round is awesome. But if you can only work during the summer months, we can work with you!
Your scheduled hours will be based on business demand, so youll need to be flexible and fluid on when you can work! Youll be working when the Zoo is busy, so that means working weekends, special events, holidays and some late hours (up to 9 p.m.). Some jobs are based outside, so its possible to be working when its hot and sunny, or cool and rainy and there is a lot of moving around and standing for long periods.
What Do Team Members Do?
Respond to guests comments, questions and concerns via telephone, written communication and in person.
Opens and closes butterfly conservatory
Drives or assists the employee & guest shuttle
Requirements:
Possess a valid Indiana drivers license, and a driving record that is deemed insurable by the Zoos insurer.
Ability to successfully pass pre-employment drug test / criminal history check / BMV check
Always be friendly, courteous, and respectful of guests and co-workers
Project a neat, clean appearance
Be on time for work, keeping absences to a minimum
Ability to calmly handle large volumes of guests
Follow verbal and written directives.
Possess quick and accurate basic math skills.
Cash register / computer experience is preferred
High School diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required
