Private Equity Valuation & Acquisition Analyst

Company & Role Description:

RFL is an unorthodox private equity firm. Unlike a traditional private equity firm, RFL is a search fund which will initially acquire one business and the principal will operate it upon acquisition.

You will be working directly for an eccentric, unpretentious entrepreneur getting hands-on experience with live M&A deals, financial analyses of numerous businesses, and interactions with CEOs, business brokers, accountants and attorneys.

Proficiency in small business valuations & key financial statements discerning why diverse businesses are successful, investible, etc.

An understanding of numerous business models across multiple industries.

Opportunity to apply to our Owner/Operator Apprenticeship Program.

Work will primarily include: We are looking for interns to help build, manage & optimize our multi-stage deal funnel-

Finding owner contact information for a number of private companies.

Helping source deals which match our investment criteria.

Giving brutally honest feedback on each business as well as all pieces of our operation.

Work will not include:

Sophisticated financial modeling & analyses.

Anything which you or I think is a waste of time.

Requirements:

Don’t need investment banking or business major/degree, but do need passion for business/entrepreneurship & willing to put passion into action. (If so you’ll LOVE this.)

Someone who is ambitious, hungry and eager to learn.

Common sense, can think independently and be able to form your own opinion.

Comfort with some chaos.

Available to work a minimum of 20 hours a week Monday-Friday (schedule can be flexible).

This is an unpaid internship. If you are looking for a glamorous internship in a formal, prestigious work environment, this job is not for you.
