Description The Robert Half Healthcare Practice is working with a notable healthcare company in the Greenwood area to find a Medical Front Office Specialist to join their team. The ideal candidate will be helpful, friendly and have a strong attention to detail.Schedule for the position: Monday 8am - 5:45pmTuesday 8am - 5:45pmWednesday 8am - 5:45pmThursday 9:30am - 4:30pmFriday 9:30am-3:45pmResponsibilities for the position include the following:
Greet and welcome patients in a friendly and professional manner.
Check patients in and out of the office, and update their contact information and insurance cards.
Verify patients' insurance coverage and collect co-payments.
Schedule and reschedule appointments.
File and organize patient records.
Answer phone calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate staff member.
Process insurance claims and follow up on unpaid balances.
Assist with administrative tasks, such as preparing reports and maintaining patient accounts.
Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
Requirements
High School Graduate or GED equivalent
Organizational skills training preferred
Computer courses preferred
Organizational Skills Training preferred
2 years previous experience in medical office setting preferred
2-3 years experience working in a business office
Previous experience with multi-phone lines
