Role Overview: The ideal seasonal candidate will be on time every day and be able to perform tasks such as shop and facility clean up, parts running and possibly even some administrative assistant support. This position will be Monday through Fiday, 7:30am-3:30pm, with overtime opportunity when needed and approved by the supervisor. Salary: This position traditionally starts at an hourly rate of $16.24 an hour. Salary for this position may be commensurate with education and job experience. Location: This position is located in INDOT’s Greenfield area. A Day in the Life: The essential functions of this role are as follows:
Receives incoming orders, verifying completeness and accuracy;
Determines destination of incoming stock;
Accurately completes the necessary procedures and MCMS system program;
Reviews, identifies, and recommends parts and supplies deemed overstocked or obsolete for the annual district surplus sale;
Follows the established procedures;
Inventories and orders supplies and/or equipment;
Receives, inspects, stores and distributes items;
Prepares or oversees preparation of requisition orders;
Oversees store room maintenance and maintains repackaging equipment;
Oversees record maintenance of lot numbers and expiration dates;
Unloads deliveries to move and store stock or equipment;

What You'll Need for Success: You must meet the following requirements to be considered for employment:
High school diploma or equivalent;
Must possess valid Driver’s license;
Six (6) months training or six (6) months experience in inventory control;
Knowledge of agency purchasing and requisition warehouse procedures;
Knowledge of inventory control;
Skill in the operation of equipment and forklift;
Ability to recognize unusual or threatening conditions (e.g., chemical storage) and take appropriate action;
Ability to sort items into categories according to established methods;
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. of stock or equipment repeatedly.
