Supply Planner Location: Fort Wayne, INLevel: SalaryDivision / Department: MerchandisingReporting to position: Supply Chain Mgr. About the Role:The Supply Planner works diligently to maximize profits while achieving expected quality customer service interactions and inventory turnover. The team member will do this by utilizing demand forecasting calculations to purchase optimal quantities of merchandise. If you have any prior experience working in any of the following areas, we strongly encourage you to apply: Purchasing, Buyer, Merchandising, Demand Analyst, Forecasting Planner, Inventory PlannerResponsibilities include:

Ordering vendor supplied products into Retail Service Centers, reviewing status daily, and making changes when necessary

Monitor service levels and turns to ensure appropriate inventory levels

Initiate initial order quantities and discount pricing with new vendors

Collaborate with the Demand Analyst to troubleshoot and adjust out of stock items, vendor and supply production concerns, and communicating those with the Merchandise Manager

Review plan analysis and validate suggested order quantities on regular and promotional items prior to placing orders

Communicate out of stock recovery information to membership via email, telephone, etc.

Work with inventory control personnel to expedite needed product

Team with merchandising, retail logistics, and finance departments to communicate and resolve any mis-shipments, shortages/overages from vendor, and receiving exceptions

Manage JDA - Fulfillment Master Data (Network, Transmode, SKI, Sourcing, etc.)

Education and Experience:

Relevant experience working in retail or home improvement industry

Inventory planning or management experience

Skills and Abilities:

Attention to detail and analytical skills

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Self starter, and able to work with minimal supervision

Quick learner and ability to multitask

Creative problem solving, and visualization skills

Desire to serve others
