Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in a city in Indiana. As a Staff Accountant, you will be entrusted with a variety of responsibilities, including the processing of customer applications, maintaining customer records, and addressing customer inquiries. Additionally, you will be tasked with monitoring customer accounts and taking necessary action. Responsibilities: Efficiently handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) tasks Process customer credit applications with precision Perform Bank Reconciliations regularly Maintain and update General Ledger as necessary Prepare and record Journal Entries Conduct Month End Close procedures Maintain accurate customer credit records Resolve customer inquiries timely and professionally Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary Utilize Excel and Great Plains Accounting to manage and analyze data. Requirements Possess proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processing and management. Demonstrate strong skills in handling Accounts Receivable (AR). Have experience in performing Bank Reconciliations. Be well-versed with General Ledger maintenance and management. Show competency in recording and maintaining Journal Entries. Be able to handle Month End Close procedures efficiently. Have advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with Excel. Be familiar with Great Plains Accounting software.
