Summary: We currently have an exciting opportunity for Medical Assistants in the greater Fort Wayne, Indiana region with the largest practice in the U.S. They are growing with patient demand and adding physicians all across their Fort Wayne offices. the ability to easily launch the career of someone driven, dedicated to quality patient care, cross training, leadership opportunities, annual bonus, and more. Responsibilities:

Medical Assistant will be a back office MA supporting anywhere from 1-2 physicians

Set up computers and prepare rooms for patients at assigned location

Greet patients and room patients

Verify patient charts and ensure accurate communication is provided to physicians

Assist with messages as needed, schedule follow up appointments, collect treatment signatures as needed

Will travel across multiple locations (distance varies between Fort Wayne and 1 hour outside). Mileage reimbursement for any traveling.

Provide a nurturing and positive environment for patients

Schedule follow up and pre-authorizations for patients as needed

Provide a nurturing and positive environment for patients to ensure comfortability

Check vitals (Body Temperature, Pulse Rate, Respiration Rate, Blood Pressure, etc.)

Triage patients and assess any symptoms, review/update medication and vaccination history, confirm family medical history

Preparing rooms for examinations by sanitating chairs and equipment and work surfaces, restocking procedure equipment.

Ongoing preparation of charts for upcoming clinic days (at least 48 hours in advance)

Train new staff members as indicated and become a vital part of the team

Monday - Friday | Day Shift | 7:30am - 5:00pm | NO weekends

PTO and 7 paid holidays

Mileage Reimbursement

Qualifications:

Medical Assistant diploma and program completed with 2+ years of front/back office experience in a clinical setting (i.e., clinic, hospital, specialty, medical practice, etc.)

High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

Must have a positive attitude and be self-motivated

Strong written and verbal communication

Must be a team-player and patient centric

Preferred but Not Required: MA certification.

Preferred but Not Required: Specialty Clinic back office experience

Preferred but Not Required: Oncology, Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Orthopedics, etc. Experience with in-office procedures (minor)

Preferred but Not Required: Phlebotomy Experience
