Provide a dedicated and effective HR advisory service to employees that covers absence and health issues, conduct and capability, grievances, organizational change, and all other employee-relations matters

Generating official internal documents such as offer letters and warning letters

Creating onboarding plans and educating newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures and regulations

Taking appropriate disciplinary action against employees who violate rules and regulations and addressing employee grievances

Investigate sensitive and/or complex employee relations matters from start to finish, including conducting intake, leading interviews, note-taking, gathering and analyzing evidence (electronic, physical, etc.), documenting findings, and following up with the relevant parties.

Discreetly handle sensitive and/or private information.

Maintain and monitor business related immigration matters.

Help create, conduct, and record staff and management training, including management of the ACTS training system

Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of employee handbook, employee directory, and organizational chart, and contribute to policy development

Conduct other duties as necessary

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or construction setting.

General knowledge of US employment laws and regulations.

Strong written and verbal communication skills (Fluent in Spanish a plus).

Results-oriented; takes ownership of and drives managers towards an appropriate resolution of issues

Ability to make sound judgments under significant pressure and tight timeframes.

Ability to effectively influence across all levels and roles in the Company. Demonstrated success in partnering across multiple groups with competing priorities.

Easily identifies, assesses difficult situations and makes the tough call while preserving and strengthening relationships

Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; adjust readily to multiple demands, shifting priorities, and rapid change with composure.

Strong analytical/fact based decision-making skills combined with the ability to think innovatively. Examines root cause and provides recommendations to management to mitigate repeated issues

Ability to be empathetic and to provide emotional support while also gathering facts.

Familiarity with a variety of electronic systems.

Must be willing to travel, as needed (30%)
