Job Title: DetailerJob DescriptionThe Detailer is responsible for taking customer drawings, converting them to simple drawings using AutoCAD 2D, then creating plans to manufacture the product and deliver it to the customer. In this role, you will spend about 50% of your time using AutoCAD 2D creating detail drawings, while the other 50% will be spent coordinating internally and with customers to assist with any problem-solving and project delivery. On a day-to-day basis, you will be working on 5-6 projects at different stages of completion. You will be trained to use a proprietary add-in within AutoCAD 2D.This role is specifically on the Deck design team now located in Fort Wayne, IN. The office also has a structural steel detailing team along with several corporate individuals who run the back office and the president of NMBS. This team is managed remotely out of Arkansas. The Design Supervisor oversees the group, which is structured into teams of 4-6 detailers with a Team Lead. Each group typically includes a 'checker' who helps review drawings with the Team Lead.Hard Skills
