Summary Parkview Health is seeking a qualified Radiation Therapy Medical Physicist to join our team, which includes 3 physicists and 5 dosimetrists supporting 4 radiation oncologists. The ideal candidate will possess an MS degree and be either board certified or board eligible. A minimum of two years of clinical experience is required. We prioritize a strong work ethic and the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.About UsParkview Health's Radiation Oncology department offers a state-of-the-art environment equipped with cutting-edge technology and software. Our main facility is outfitted with:· Equipment: TrueBeam, CyberKnife M6, Radixact, an Elekta/Flexitron HDR unit, and two GE CT Simulators. We also support a satellite facility in Angola, IN, equipped with a TrueBeam linear accelerator and a GE CT simulator.· Software: Eclipse, Precision, Oncentra, Radformation, Velocity, RadCalc, and Sun Nuclear QA devices and software.Position ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will provide full-time clinical medical physics coverage, with an emphasis on clinical physics and treatment planning. Key responsibilities include:· Regular clinical physics coverage· Participation in equipment upgrades, repairs, acceptance testing· Performing monthly and annual QA of treatment equipment· Clinical troubleshooting, initial and weekly chart checks· Additional routine clinical physics dutiesParkview Health is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer, committed to fostering diversity and inclusion in all aspects of recruitment and employment.Education Must have a M. S. degree in Radiological Physics, Medical Radiation Physics, or Health Physics. Must have prior training in biological sciences, anatomy, physiology, radiation biology, and radiation dosimetry; and have training in principles of radiation protection and radiation safety. Licensure/Certification Must be certified by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) in Therapeutic Radiological Physics or American Board of Medical Physics (ABMP) in Radiation Oncology Physics.
