Description The Robert Half Healthcare Practice is working with a notable healthcare group in the Evansville area to add a Medical Records Clerk to their team. This is a 3-4 month short term position. This person must be detail oriented and a fast learner.Hours: First few weeks: 6am - 2:30pmTHEN Normal Shift 8am-4:30pmResponsibilities for the position include the following:
Work with medical staff, patients, and third-party entities regarding record requests and updates.
Respond to inquiries about medical records accurately and efficiently.
Communicate potential discrepancies or missing information in records to designated personnel.
Assist with patient registration and intake processes, including collecting and verifying demographic information.
Maintain accurate indexing and filing systems for both physical and electronic records.
Conduct periodic audits to ensure record completeness and compliance with regulations.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
1+ years of office experience
Strong knowledge of medical terminology and coding systems helpful
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
