Description The Robert Half Healthcare Practice is working with a notable healthcare company in the Evansville area to add a Health Information Support Specialist to their team. This person must have a strong attention to detail and be able to be on their feet for periods of time.Hours: Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pmResponsibilities for the position include the following:
Chart Retrieval: Be prepared for walking and standing as you collect physical charts from various departments across the facility.
Data Reconciliation: Utilize a computer application to meticulously match retrieved charts with a provided list.
Record Preparation: Prior experience with paper medical records is beneficial, as you'll prepare them for further processing.
Chart Scanning: Using dedicated software, efficiently scan physical charts into the legal medical record system. Expect continuous batches throughout the day and be comfortable working at a desk for extended periods.
Requirements
HS Diploma or equivalent
Must be able to be on your feet for periods of time
Prior experience with medical records is helpful
