Description:Metalcraft Precision Machine in Elkhart, IN is searching for a qualified Mill Lead on 1st shift. Metalcraft is a family-owned job shop that produces parts for various industries. Some customers include: Speedgrip Chuck, Complexus Medical, General Stamping & Metalworks, Caterpillar, etc. The Mill department consists of 10 CNC HAAS Mills (Vertical Machining Centers).Shift Hours:1st shiftJob Duties:
Overseeing a team of 3 to 4 Mill Machinists (production-level machinists)
Setting up CNC HAAS Vertical Mills for production runs
Programming from customer blueprint (G&M Code)
Verification of set up by measuring first piece for approval
Grinding parts to customer specification
If not setting up machines for production runs, they will be completing their own 1-offs in the Mill department
