DescriptionSAIC is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the US Navy in Crane, IN .JOB DESCRIPTION:Candidate will be leading and supporting AN/SLQ-32(V)7 through all phases of product life cycle, including requirements development, design, development, data package creation and validation, test & evaluation, production, acquisition and sustainment.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs Systems Engineering activities related to Engineering including: concept of operations formulation, requirements definition, analysis and engineering, system architecture, system analysis and design, interface and data architectures, validation and verification, systems integration, system & op. performance analysis, Life-cycle cost analysis & estimation, decision analysis and physical configuration analysis (PCA) .

Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software or engineering specifications.

Provides specific, detailed information for selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.

QualificationsREQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in Science and five (5) years or more experience; Master’s in Science and three (3) years or more experience.

May require travel to support planning meetings, reviews, etc. (IWS 2E in Washington, DC; and supporting Contractor facility locations; etc.).

Willing to work in office, lab, and shipyard environments.

Must be an effective written and verbal communicator and have strong technical writing skills.

Interim Secret clearance required to start with the ability to obtain a full secret clearance. SAIC will sponsor the clearance process.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Model-Based Engineering (MBE) / Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience
