Accounting Specialist

Description We are looking for an Accounting Specialist to join our team in the Financial Services industry located in Carmel, Indiana. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity. As an Accounting Specialist, you will be focused on ensuring the accuracy of data entry, preparing remittance, handling check and transfer requests, and maintaining a keen eye for detail.Responsibilities: Oversee the accurate data entry of financial transactions. Manage the process of matching incoming checks from dealers to loans in the system. Prepare and send funds to clients in the system as part of remittance preparation. Handle check requests and transfer requests promptly and accurately. Distribute checks as per the company's procedures. Utilize accounting software systems to effectively perform accounting functions. Manage billing functions and maintain accurate accounts payable and receivable. Process check deposits and remittances efficiently. Handle consumer and commercial loans with accuracy and professionalism. Perform check runs and check processing in a timely manner. Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems Excellent understanding of Accounting Functions Experience in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Familiarity with Billing Functions Experience with Check Deposit and Remittance procedures Knowledge in handling both Consumer and Commercial Loans Ability to Distribute Checks efficiently Experience in Check Runs and Check Processing Proficiency in financial services industry protocols and regulations Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities High degree of accuracy and attention to detail Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and standards.
