Growing together.Position Details:Location : Carmel, IN and Avon, INSchedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30AM - 4:30PM (Mon-Carmel, Tues- Administrative assignment, Weds-Carmel, Thurs-Avon, Fri-Carmel) / No evenings, weekends, or holidays!This is a traveling role that includes mileage reimbursement. Employees will also receive an additional $2.00 per hour on days they travel to an alternate location from their base practice location.Specialty: Foot and AnklePrimary Responsibilities:The MA/EMT will receive training and a course for completion to receive their Radiology License to take images below the knee.
Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical equipment & instruments
Room patients, obtain health history and check vital signs
Document patient care using electronic medical record software
Assist providers with minor, in-office procedures
Schedule appointments, complete prior authorizations, process medication refills, handle referrals and answer patient calls as needed
Complies with Medical Assistant Certification Procedure by becoming certified (CMA, CCMA, NCMA, or RMA) within 9 months of employment

High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Medical Assistant diploma, technical certificate, or certification OR 4+ months of experience performing the critical skills of a Medical Assistant after on-the-job training
Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, CCMA, NCMA, or RMA) or must be willing to attain that certification within 9 months of employment
Preferred Qualifications:
Active Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, CCMA, NCMA, or RMA)
CPR certification
Experience working as a Medical Assistant in a family practice setting
Experience with NextGen or other electronic medical record (EMR) software
Experience performing medical back-office tasks including injections/immunizations, phlebotomy, urinalysis, and administering medications
Experience performing medical front-office tasks including scheduling appointments, prior authorizations, medication refills, and referrals
