Description:Will be responsible for keeping the SW team (3-4 Engineers) productive and busy. Knowing every inch of software, reviewing code, making good choices while writing code, help think their way through installations in the field (safety, customer relationships, etc). Before the people get out there, one key aspect is to make sure the projects are well defined. Job Description: Define project requirements Identify grey areas in software definitions, create decisions around the requirements and code accordingly SW Project Management -full lifecycle development Object Oriented 50% of week spent on project planning/documentation/defining requirements – sequence of operations, technical documentation (who, what, where, why how then single line drawing of key components, state definition of state of microgrid (dominant voltage), power balancing, controller definition) 50% of week spent reviewing team’s code, helping them figure out what to work on next, etc. SW engineer considers project engineers to be their customers (who then makes customer happy). Talking with project engineers a lot to talk through problems solving. Code reviews are a big deal.First 6 months will do the following: First will learn Microgrid technologies Then will spend 80% of day coding for the technologies Then will write his own technical designs Then will write statement of workSkills:Object Oriented, C, Embedded software Embedded C C/C+

Software engineering Programming C programmingPIDPower GridInverterTop Skills Details:Object OrientedAdditional Skills & Qualifications: 10+ years of Object Oriented Programming (C#, C, C, Java, Structured Text etc.) – putting code into PLCs/Embedded Controllers (schneider machine expert is IDE- linux, .net) Bachelors of Electrical Engineer or CS degree with controls experience Someone who can be a mentor and a coach – empowering the team to make mistakes and get hands on/fix/learn as they go PID loop experience or controls experience or PLC design experience Someone who is passionate about renewable energy/working within microgrids and a little outside of just sitting in a seat and coding.
