Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Financial Analyst in the manufacturing industry located in Woodstock, Illinois. This role entails a focus on financial planning, analysis, and reporting, with an emphasis on work orders, fixed assets, and month-end close tasks. The successful candidate will be adept at using Oracle and have a deep understanding of financial analysis, capital improvement, and spend analysis.Responsibilities: Review and work on open work orders and ensure their closure in a timely manner. Prepare weekly and monthly financial reporting packages, providing insights when necessary. Oversee the Fixed Asset Process, including reviewing capital projects for approval, and monitoring spending. Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure capitalization forms are accurately filled out. Support the team during month-end close tasks, providing assistance wherever necessary. Analyze and prepare journal entries as part of the financial reporting process. Utilize Oracle for various financial operations and reporting. Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making processes. Assist in the planning and analysis of financial aspects of proposed capital improvements. Conduct spend analysis to monitor and control expenditures.Requirements Must have proficiency in Work Orders Demonstrated experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP& A) Proven ability to manage Month End Close processes Strong knowledge and experience with Journal Entries Experience with Fixed Assets management Proficient in Financial Reporting Experience with Oracle software is required Proven expertise in Capital Improvement projects Strong background in Financial Analysis Demonstrated skills in Spend Analysis Relevant industry experience in Steel Manufacturing is a plus Previous experience in a senior financial role is preferred Excellent communication and presentation skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
