Parts (Commercial and Operations)
Service and Warranty
Dealer Operations
Our Intern Structure:
Complete multiple Intern projects (at least 1 major one) and collaborate with assigned teams on a variety of activities within Aftersales organization.
Potential Project Areas:
Grow parts revenue, build profitable sales through developing new marketing programs and supporting new product launches
Work with the National Accounts team and develop bids, pricing analysis and contribute to strategic initiatives to expand customer reach
Build skills in parts and service technology team by working on major projects like e-commerce, i360 customer/dealer portal, repair estimating and guided diagnostic systems
Gain hands-on experience working with new trucks and buses, contribute to improving serviceability and product support materials working at the Product Support Center located in Woodridge, IL.
Be part of a continuous improvement team supporting Navistar’s service network and play a role in Corporate strategic programs such as Vision 2025 .
Cross-functional / Matrix Environment:
Grow your network through cross-functional collaboration with Navistar employees within the Aftersales organization and across the company by working with IT, Engineering, Sales and Marketing, International Dealers and customers.
Development Opportunities:
Participate with executive leaders in roundtable discussions, professional networking events, and learn from a dedicated manager-mentor. Additionally, get to join job-shadows and 1:1 with group managers to gain exposure to areas not covered by the internship core projects.
Final Project:
Participate in a final project symposium at the end of internship with the Aftersales Leadership team and department. This is where you’ll be the expert and share everything that you’ve learned.

Applicants should be pursuing a bachelor’s degree (any field), but increased consideration will be given to those in technical fields such as, Automotive technology, Heavy equipment or engineering.
Graduating in December 2020 or Spring 2021 (opportunity is however, open to college students who are sophomores at the time of application).
Talented, high-energy problem solvers who are self-starting and comfortable with ambiguity
Have great computer skills - PC proficient (Microsoft Office).

This program does not offer relocation reimbursement, or housing reimbursement for students who reside outside of the Chicago metropolitan area.
Position may require travel between Lisle, IL and Woodridge, IL
Position PurposeThis program gives students the experience of working in a business, manufacturing, and/or technical environment, which will assist them in relating their academic studies to practical work situations. Interns will develop a working knowledge of the trucking industry in one or more of the following areas: Operations (manufacturing, supply chain, procurement), engineering, information technology, finance/accounting, marketing, communications, legal, or human resources. Students will also develop an understanding of Navistar’s products, customers, values, and processes.Basic Requirements
Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
ORFor Legal Jobs:
Pursuing a Juris Doctor degree or Doctor of Law degree (J.D.)
Additional Requirements
Must be able to provide housing and transporation for the duration of the internship
U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident status required – For certain positions (Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information)
Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
