In this vital role, you will serve as the Executive Director, Global Marketing Lead (GML) for Sjogren’s Disease (SjD), overseeing the commercial and product strategy for assets in late-stage clinical development. The ED/GML for SjD is responsible for maximizing the value of the SjD assets and developing successful global brands by providing commercial guidance on development stage assets, developing, and implementing global launch strategies, optimizing the impact of marketing budgets, and managing the lifecycle of marketed products.Key Responsibilities include:Global Marketing Leadership
Lead the development and execution of launch and commercialization strategies, focusing on key global and priority markets.
Build a comprehensive global brand strategy, ensuring strong alignment across cross-functional teams.
Establish the target patient profile, utilizing deep market insights to bring the patient journey to life and inform brand positioning
Drive the development of the global launch campaign, ensuring it is culturally relevant, distinctive, and enduring
Lead the insight-driven development of branding, messaging, and market activation strategies to maximize launch impact and sustained commercial success.
Identify strategic partnerships and collaborations that enhance the brand’s presence and reinforce its market position
Commercial Execution & Strategic Alignment
Partner with Market Access & Pricing teams to optimize reimbursement strategies and support global market entry
Foster ongoing insights development by collaborating internally and externally, ensuring data-driven decision-making for the brand
Monitor and analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and industry developments to inform brand strategy adjustments
Represent the company at industry conferences and build relationships with key opinion leaders and stakeholders
Manage the global marketing budget, ensuring optimal resource allocation to maximize brand impact
Product Team Leadership
Serve as the single leader for the cross-functional Product Team, responsible for defining the product strategy throughout its lifecycle
Deliver an integrated product strategy that considers short- and long-term impacts, regional and country perspectives, and financial assumptions
Ensure that strategy and business assumptions are executable and align with corporate priorities
Develop and communicate strategic options to optimize trade-offs, balancing risk, and global value considerations
Represent commercial interests in Research Project Teams and work closely with R&D, medical, and regulatory functions to ensure alignment
Utilize Amgen’s decision-making framework to assess program risks and opportunities effectively
Oversee the lifecycle management strategy, ensuring continued product differentiation, market expansion opportunities, and sustained value maximization

Doctorate degree & 6 years of global marketing experience OR
Master’s degree & 10 years of global marketing experience OR
Bachelor’s degree & 12 years of global marketing experience AND
6 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resource
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in strategic marketing roles up to Head of Marketing / Portfolio Leadership in global or U.S. markets
Deep understanding of autoimmune diseases or rare diseases, with experience in Sjogren’s Syndrome, Rheumatology, or related therapeutic areas being highly preferred
Expertise in global brand launch and commercialization, particularly for pipeline products and late-stage assets
Ability to lead and execute integrated, cross-functional commercialization strategies
Experience leading high-performing global teams in a matrixed environment, ensuring strategic and executional alignment
Analytical skills with the ability to synthesize market insights and make objective, data-driven decisions
Expertise in market access, pricing, and reimbursement strategies across global markets.
Ability to influence senior leadership and cross-functional teams, driving alignment and decision-making
Communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex strategies into actionable plans
Passion for patient-centered innovation, ensuring the needs of people living with Sjogren’s Syndrome are at the heart of brand strategy
