Position Summary:

The Provider Recruitment Specialist performs and coordinates complex details in the support of provider recruitment for permanent physician, APP, and locum efforts across the organization to support the strategic initiative growth of Carle Physician Group. Active involvement in the recruitment process from the time a position is opened through the successful placement of a provider.

Qualifications:

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Bachelors Related Field or or Related experience may be considered in lieu of degree. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Previous experience in recruiting, marketing, personnel, or related activities preferred. Understanding of healthcare and medical environment helpful. Some computer experience preferred. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Must be able to project a professional, pleasant image while interacting with a variety of personalities. Shall demonstrate tact and diplomacy in interpersonal interactions. Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, an exceptional customer service focus and respect for confidentiality. Ability to work effectively with physicians and non-physicians at various organizational levels. Responsive to client and candidate needs. Projects a positive image and a high degree of professionalism. Strong organizational/time management skills required. Must be able to coordinate multiple projects and assess priorities with a large workload in tight deadlines. Ability to follow through and bring 'closure' on assigned responsibilities. Demonstrates critical thinking skills in order to identify potential issues and alternative solutions. Exercises solid judgment by considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions in order to choose the most appropriate course of action. Must be self-motivated and strive for professional and personal growth. Takes ownership of role responsibilities and their completion. Ability to 'sell'/market Carle to candidates. Demonstrates telemarketing skills, strong persuasive abilities, and a knowledge of recruitment sourcing strategies (including Internet sourcing) a plus. Possess advanced computer skills. Willingness to change or take on additional responsibilities and challenges. Must be able to work morning, evenings and weekend hours as needed. Some travel expected.

Essential Functions:

Facilitate sourcing efforts: to external firms, maintains carleconnect.com, coordinates communication between marketing for website and social media, researches and recommends additional advertising and/or networking resources.

Organize and confirm participation in conventions, specialty meetings, and job fairs for provider recruitment. Registers Carle for participation, prepares and ships materials/equipment, maintains displays, works collaboratively with marketing to develop appropriate materials.

Coordinate with the assigned recruiter, to support the recruitment process for permanent physician, APP, and locum providers.

Assist in facilitating provider recruitment process: develop itinerary, make travel arrangements, including hotel and car rental, order and confirm meals for meetings, orders gift baskets, escorts candidates, when necessary.

Manage initial screening and verification checks for viable candidates.

Must have advanced computer skills and exceptional customer relations skills. Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication skills and a professional demeanor at all times.

Leads sourcing efforts for physicians and all types of advanced practice opportunities by exploring, researching, and recommending sourcing/advertising options and resources: Maintains knowledge of sourcing options (Carle on-lines sites, direct mail, professional sites, external on-line, social media, trade shows); Facilitates sourcing efforts with external firms, if necessary; Navigates, tracks, monitors and drives best practices of the enterprise wide sourcing process; Conducts industry analysis and market research for sourcing strategies.

Utilizes critical thinking to evaluate candidate appropriateness upon presentation: Conducts initial screening of candidates; Completes verification checks (board certification, licensure, Sunshine Act, OIG, Google search) for candidates presenting with desired educational requirements; Discerns candidate appropriate for further consideration; forwards to Provider Recruitment.

Oversees professional reference checking process: Determines which references to contact; Conducts the references check with external physician cohort/supervisor; Delegates written reference contacts to Executive Assistant for faxing; If questionable references received, further explores additional references for verification; Assembles completed references and packages for delivery; Recommends candidates with acceptable references to Provider Recruiter for further consideration

Coordinates as an extension of the Provider Recruiter in support of the recruitment process for permanent physicians, APPs and locum providers. Serves as a backup for Provider Recruiter, trouble shoots challenges to the interview itinerary, facilitates interviews for the provider candidates.

Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards. Provide all customer of Carle with an excellent service experience by consistently demonstrating our core and leader behaviors.
