Position Summary:

Performs EMG procedures according to facility policy and procedures and assists with throughput of clinic.

Qualifications:

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTSNone Required CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTSBasic Life Support (BLS) (AHA) within 30 days. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSPatient care experience.SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGEOrganizational ability necessary. Ability to communicate effectively and work in collaboration with others. Ability to accept and institute changes. Ability to demonstrate technical knowledge and skills essential.

Essential Functions:

Completes EMGs for both inpatient and out-patients.

Maintains laboratory supplies and environment.

Communicates with health care team.

Travels to hospital bedside.

Supporting clinic throughput commensurate with medical assistant role.

Orders, stocks, maintains department supplies

Performs EMG testing in both the in-patient and out-patient setting.

Supporting clinic throughput commensurate with medical assistant role. Activities to include but not limited to rooming patients, sending normal result notes to patients, MRI screening, assisting with bedside procedures being performed by providers.
