Must be knowledgeable of both standard and complex analyses. Validates and reviews data for accuracy through Level I and II reviews. Uploads laboratory data into LIMS system to generate data packages for delivery to clients. Schedules sample workload according to due dates and sample hold times. Must be knowledgeable of a broad range of laboratory testing equipment requiring the exercise of discretion and judgment in its operation.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Performs laboratory procedures requiring advanced knowledge of scientific methods and testing procedures including:

Batching and prepping samples for analysis taking into account special and varied client and Quality Assurance requirements

Making reagents for sample analysis

Aliquots extracted samples to maximize laboratory productivity

Preparing appropriate standards to ensure compliant data

Determining appropriate analysis methods for a wide variety of organic and inorganic samples using both routine and complex matrices

Operation, calibration, and maintenance of laboratory instruments

Scheduling priority of samples to be analyzed to meet deadlines and maintain sample integrity Uploads data into LIMS system to provide the necessary information to produce data packages. Performs Level I review of data to ensure compliance with scientific methods and standard operating procedures.Maintains logbooksMonitors refrigerator temperaturesResponsible for performing job functions within Eurofins Environment Testing America’s environmental health and safety and quality assurance standardsMaintains housekeeping standards for work areaInventories and stocks laboratory suppliesPerforms Level II review of data to finalize data for Project Management and clientsRecord retention of finalized dataSecondary Duties: Orders suppliesWashes and inventories glasswareWrites NCM’s for projects with Quality Assurance issuesPurges analyzed samplesAssists in training new analysts on laboratory proceduresAssists in other areas of laboratory when neededBasic Minimum Qualifications (BMQ): To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill or ability required.Education/Experience (BMQ): Education: BS/BA degree in chemistry or related field. 3 years laboratory experience may substitute for degree.Experience: Minimum 4 years’ experience with laboratory procedures, including routine and complex matrices, preferably in a production environmentProfessional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English.Ability and/or Skills (BMQ): Analytical and/or General ScienceScientific methods and method complianceKnowledge of Standard Operating ProceduresOperating and calibrating laboratory instrumentsSkilled with computers and laboratory softwareAdvanced knowledge of laboratory proceduresLaboratory safety rules and chemical hazardsProblem solving skillsGood communication skillsComputer skillsOrganizational skillsWord processing and working with spreadsheetsReport reviewFull-time position Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.
