Description Robert Half is currently working with a client seeking an Inventory Clerk. The Inventory Clerk will be responsible to keep track of goods and services and manage orders to facilitate sales or production. As the Inventory Clerk you will be placing orders for more inventory according to demand, signing off on shipments, and counting the number of available products. If you are a detailed oriented inventory professional with excellent math and communication skills, this is the Inventory Clerk position for you!What you get to do every day
Spending time collaborating with the inventory analyst and purchasing manager
Comparing costs from different vendors after obtaining estimates
Control inventory by stocking and cataloging products
Notice and report discrepancies between physical counts and computer records
Classifying and counting items
Entering data into the system
Managing document discrepancies
Ordering inventory from vendors and suppliers and scheduling shipment arrival times Requirements - A minimum of a HS Diploma or equivalent
Must have strong mathematical and analytical abilities
Possess broad knowledge of the range of company products and services
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Problem solving skills and high attention to detail
1+ years' experience in retail and/or inventory sector is preferred
Experience using inventory computer programs to update counts and compile reports, such as spreadsheets
