Title: Level II Shop Floor Technical Support (Manufacturing Environment - Must be Local) Location: Skokie, IL (On-Site Position) Hours: Mon - Friday (Day-Time) Role Type: Contract to Hire Must Have Skills: Level II IT Support, Windows 10, MS Office Suite, Office 365, SCCM, Network Troubleshooting, Manufacturing/Shop Floor Environment experience. . Plus Skills: RF Gun Troubleshooting, RF Scanner Gun/Label Scanner Troubleshooting We are hiring for a Level II IT Shop Floor Support Technician for a client of ours located in Skokie, IL. This is an immediate need and very urgent position. The position is a 6 month contract to hire, so we are seeking candidates who have some longevity. Ideal candidates will have at least 5+ years of Level II Support Experience and some experience working in a Manufacturing/Shop Floor environment inclusive of (Steel Toed Boots/Safety Glasses). You will be responsible for supporting all levels of end users but primarily those working on the Shop Floor. Responsibilities:
- Provide Level II Support to on-site end users.
- Document, Troubleshoot and Resolve Level II IT incidents.
- Support team in troubleshooting and maintenance of Windows 10, Windows Server, Network (LAN/WAN), Monitoring Switches, Printers (Zebra), RF Scanners (RF Guns) and Backing up environment.
- Troubleshoot and support SAP System used for tracking of all Manufactured Products.
- Install, configure, and support end user devices (Laptops, Desktops, Workstations, and mobile devices).
- Handle deployment of standard software (Windows 10, MS Office, Lotus Notes, VPN Software, Antivirus, Engineering and other Client Side Software).
- Support on-site Computer Room Racks, Cabling, and Data Room maintenance.
- Provide basic training to new IT users, on IT process and systems usage.
- Participate in patching and imaging of software on new and current devices.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related fields.
- Minimum of 5 years of IT Support experience troubleshooting and resolving Level II tickets.
- Demonstrated experience in Windows XP, 7-10, Active Directory, GPO, Windows Server, LAN/WAN, Exchange, MS Office, Office 365, Symantec Antivirus, Bomgar, Skype/Team Conferencing, HP Hardware (Desktop, Laptop, Printer)
- Experience Installing, configuring, Upgrading, Imaging, Patching, Migrating and Deploying IT Software/Hardware.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Experience Troubleshooting Printers, Laptops, Workstations, and Mobile Devices.
- Experience documenting and resolving IT incidents.
- Experience utilizing Ticketing Systems like (Remedy, Heat, ServiceNow etc.)
- Experience with Zebra Printers and RF Scanners.
