Position Overview Reporting to the Senior Director of Development of the Geneva Foundation, the Planned Giving Officer will be responsible for identifying, engaging, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding current and prospective planned giving donors. He/she will also be responsible for providing outstanding and responsive customer service to an established portfolio of donors and prospects, ensuring the attainment of their personal philanthropic goals. Essential Functions

Full alignment with the Presbyterian Homes and Geneva Foundation Mission vision and values.

Develop and manage a donor portfolio. Build relationships, identify and document planned gifts for the support of the Geneva Foundation through personal visits and meaningful contacts with residents, donors, and prospective donors towards the interest of planned gifts and their future impact within the campus communities and overall charitable mission.

Ability and passion to create opportunities for people to advance the communities of Presbyterian Homes through financial stewardship and generosity toward the Geneva Foundation.

Draft and present written and verbal planned giving proposals, presentations, and other communications to effectively align donor’s planned giving desires and interests within the communities of Presbyterian Homes and the charitable mission of the organization.

Skills/Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with advanced education or Certification as a Fund-Raising Professional a plus.

Minimum of five years of development experience, possessing roles with increasing levels of responsibility with emphasis on major gift work within a non-profit organization, preferably related to working with older adults, healthcare, or not-for-profit retirement communities.

Demonstrated technical knowledge around charitable vehicles and managing a planned giving program, specifically with bequests, trusts, annuities, and giving through retirement plans.
