Project Description:Our client is the second-largest writer of commercial general liability insurance and the fourth-largest commercial property-casualty insurance company, serving the global corporate, large corporate, middle market, specialties and programs sectors in North America region. We provide Consulting, Cloud services, Desktop support, Application Modernization, Development and Maintenance services for the customer The customer is working with us collaboratively for migrating the Underwriting applications from legacy to new modernized platform for Quoting, Binding and Issuing the policies. We in collaboration with customer are investing for the long term to build the new Underwriting platform that will fuel the revenue growth. Application covers large property accounts. This supports the clearance, evaluation, rating, quoting, collaboration, Issuance and management review of specific property and Boiler & Machinery coverages within North America. The Zorba Platform has full transactional capabilities including new business, renewals and endorsements. It is a single source to generate premium, technical price and benchmark price. This application is developed in VB.Net. It has interfaces with several other platforms in Zurich North America. It has interfaces developed using webservices. Database is SQL Server 2016. Candidate has to work on production support, enhancements and defects. We receive wide variety of production issues. By working on production issues candidates will get an opportunity to learn domain and technology. There is also an opportunity for lot of development work. Candidates will get an opportunity to develop and consume webservices. Responsibilities:Understand user stories, work out the design for the same, provide estimates for development• Software application development based on user stories (develop logic for presentation layer, implement business logic)• Development of APIs and deployment in containers• Integration with third party applications• Work in Agile scrum model; Mandatory Skills Description:• Strong skills in C# (.NET Framework 5.0), Blazor, ASP.Net, ASP.NET Core, Web API (REST), SOAP API,• Knowledge on Entity Framework/ Entity Framework Core• Familiar with hosting website in IIS web server• Basic knowledge of containers, DevOps, Bitbucket; basic understanding of source code management - versioning, branches, merging• Good communication skills, and natural problem solver with can-do attitude
