Description:Actalent is looking to hire a quality control technicians. This company makes 3 main products (described below). Day to day this person would be performing wet chemistry testing, GC testing, viscosity, color testing in a production lab. Materials are concentrated, so someone who has familiarity with those chemicals is preferred, but needs to at least have worked in a lab. No development testing, only final product testing release. Need someone that can follow a method, test it, run it, and that’s it. Eventually everyone will need to run all products, so would want cross training if someone doesn’t have experience. We have 3 different products and 3 different labs actually to support three different lines and 3 different companies- need to be able to toggle between different responsibilities:1.Own product which is rubber tire additive. Stabilizes the tire, anti ozone product so prevents ozone from degrading tires and improves life span. Product stains, so they have uniforms. Dark color material “not most fun thing to work on but necessary”. (issue presented itself in the rubber products)2.GC testing, viscosity, LOH, specific gravity, melting point3.P2S5- smells bad, sulfur product so smells like sulfur. Oil additive (Afton Chemical is the customer they make it for)- this is the most involved process but they will train on this- accuracy is super important in this division -Wet chemistry testing, auto titrator, sizing, visual color testing in general -Chlorine based product- commonly used in pool tabs, urinal tabs, tablet toilet cleaners-Wet chemistry testing, Titration, LOH-Run GC
