The Stateline Family YMCA is currently hiring a part-time Building Supervisor for the Roscoe, IL branch. Weekdays - Tuesdays and Thursdays

Our Building Supervisors work approximately 5:00pm-8:00pm

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Ensure all staff are at their assigned posts and report any discrepancies (scheduling conflicts) to the proper department

Follow all YMCA safety and personnel policies

Monitor facility use, ensuring appropriate use of equipment and safe, appropriate behavior. Deescalate high-tension situations in a civil manner

Maintain positive relationships with members, participants, and other staff. Model relationship-building skills in all interactions

Maintain a clean facility appearance at all times. Performs custodial duties as assigned, and when issues arise

Troubleshoot facility and/or equipment issues and ensure safe operation or remove from use until resolved. Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate director

Serve as leader on duty for emergency situations. Maintain and distribute first-aid supplies as needed; follow established YMCA policy and guidelines in the event of accident or injury

Serve as back-up Front Desk Staff; give cause-driven tours to all prospective members that come into the facility

Responsible for the opening/closing of the branch facility, as well as monitoring security procedures and facility operation during the assigned shift

Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONSEducation and Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent required

Minimum six months' supervisory experience in customer service or related field required

Skills

Good communication and problem-solving skills

Ability to assume a positive, visible presence in the facility

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This individual may be required to stand for extended periods of time while demonstrating physical stamina and agility

Ability to climb ladders to perform minor maintenance duties
