Student Transport Driver

We are looking for drivers who want to make a difference in the lives of our students! We partner with transportation service providers all across the country to transport thousands of students with special transportation needs to and from school every day - all while meeting stringent state and district student transportation regulations across the country.
Job Description: Top Duties and Qualifications
All vehicle operators must have:
- Two years of licensed driving experience
- A valid driver’s license for the type of vehicle being driven
- Successfully complete all required pre-service training
- Have submitted to the required background and/or fingerprinting checks
- Demonstrate physical and mental capabilities required to carry out all assigned responsibilities
- Be enrolled in a drug and alcohol testing consortium that provides for pre-employment testing as well as random, reasonable suspicion, and post-accident drug and alcohol testing
Driver duties and responsibilities
The safety of all students is our top priority.
- Stay with students in the vehicle at all times so that they are never left unattended
- Confirm students are not left alone when dropped-off
- Discontinue use of cell phones while the vehicle is in motion
- Adhere to cell phone and handsfree device laws per state. Drivers must use a handsfree device if a related call is required during transport.
- Use the EverDriven driver app on their mobile device (however, all steps are to be completed while the vehicle is safely parked)
- Keep the vehicle and all necessary equipment safe to use regardless of daily weather conditions
- Follow CDC guidelines regarding masks when transporting students on behalf of EverDriven
Employment Details
EverDriven contracts with Service Providers and does not directly hire drivers. If you are interested you will be contacted by one of our Service Provider partners for employment screening and if hired, will be under their employment. Depending on the Service Provider, drivers may be asked to transport additional passengers, outside of students.
