Job Description and Responsibilities :
Job Summary:
This position will be the leader of a crew performing general installation, provisioning, maintenance, troubleshooting/fault isolation, and restoration activities of essential wireless systems used in the provision of essential telecommunication systems, including personal wireless communications, public safety communications, utility networks, broadcasting, DAS, and DOT systems.
Primary Responsibilities:
Manage a crew working on projects that may include various scopes of work
Carry out and teach crew members the procedures in installation, repair, modification, optimization, and acceptance tests of wireless infrastructures and electrical equipment
Isolate hardware, software, and air interface malfunctions utilizing various test equipment on multiple products and technologies
Recommend changes, installation techniques, and/or aid in the discussion of site layouts
Complete all assigned tasks within project scope accurately and efficiently
Attend required training sessions and participate in certification programs as necessary
Ensure accurate and timely reports are completed and submitted
Climb to elevated heights working safely and effectively
Other duties as assigned
Requirements :
Qualifications
Education:
High School diploma or general education degree (GED); related trade school education preferred
Experience:
Two or more years of wireless, DAS, DOT, and small cell systems experience
Five to seven years of experience in the wireless industry
Two to four years experience managing or supervising a crew
Formal electronics training preferred
Technical Skills:
Extensive knowledge of various types of testing equipment uses and procedures
Must have or ability to obtain OSHA Construction 30-hour Safety Training Card
Must have or ability to obtain First Aid and CPR certification
Must have or ability to obtain RF Radiation Safety & Awareness certification
Must have or ability to obtain Competent Climber certification
Construction safety practices
Microsoft Office proficiency
Soft Skills:
Ability to read, comprehend and carry out instructions
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Ability to motivate, lead, teach and train on proper work and safety procedures
Highly organized and detail oriented
Ability to think analytically, apply sound judgment, and solve problems
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing
Individuals must have a valid drivers license and driving record that meets Company requirements
Must be in good physical condition with the ability to stoop, crawl, bend at the knees and waist, squat and lift 75 lbs; includes body weight, equipment, tools and boxes
Must be willing to travel up to 100% of the time
May be required to work long and unpredictable hours
Position requires working outdoors in all types of weather conditions
