Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.As a part of the Acquirer Digital Acceptance team, the Executive Relationship Manager will develop new and existing partnerships. These partnerships bridge the gap between legacy payment experiences and new solution providers that solve critical business issues. Key focus areas include:

Strengthening relationships with card brand networks and Fraud Service Providers to identify business development opportunities.

Ensuring overall parity with card networks – products, capabilities, N2Ns, alliances, etc.

Identification of obstacles and root causes; utilizing problem solving techniques for resolution.

Reinforcing DGN’s industry presence

Driving the “Power of Day One”

Partnering internally with operations, product, and marketing on strategic initiatives (support Operations on contract related needs)

Serving as the liaison for Discover by maintaining relationships with decision-makers across all divisions of the card networks

Compliance: Enhancing risk awareness and fraud prevention, escalating and driving awareness of "at risk" items to senior leadership; creating, implementing, and managing measures to ensure risk mitigation and compliance

As a part of these efforts, the role will also manage projects that require industry collaboration, gathering customer insights, ensuring ongoing adherence to risk and compliance requirements. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to: driving transaction volume growth and market-share improvement, ensuring consistent implementation of Discover value-added products, assisting with strategic initiatives and marketing programs to broaden the DGN acceptance footprint.The role will require domestic travel up to 35%.What You’ll Do

Lead the acquiring, business development, and client management efforts for our top partners.

Serve as the subject matter expert for assigned portfolio.

Ensure execution of projects with department wide impact.

Actively manage and escalate risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.

How You’ll Do It

Serve as the strategic liaison between Discover and assigned enablement partner(s) by maintaining relationships with decision-makers across all divisions of the assigned partner

Partner internally and externally to identify, develop and implement new business opportunities.

Present and execute marketing and promotional initiatives to increase transactions, grow market-share and improve merchant stated awareness, acceptance and product offerings

Develop and implement operational initiatives and ensure full compliance with Discover Network’s Change Release process, compliance and business practices

Leverage industry knowledge and experience to drive sales, accelerate business results and build and win new acceptance

Maintain data integrity in Salesforce system.

Qualifications You’ll NeedThe Basics

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management, Marketing, Finance, or related field

6+ years of experience in Business Development, Sales, Relationship Management, Strategy, or related

In lieu of a degree, 10+ years of experience in Business Development, Sales, Relationship Management, or Strategy

Bonus Points If You Have

Master's degree in Business Administration and Management, Marketing, Finance, or related field

Sales/Relationship management experience in the Payment Services industry (and experience managing card brands and Fraud Risk Partners)

Exceptional relationship management and consultative sales skills and proven experience building deep and influential relationships with key stakeholders, executive level clients and internal business partners

Ability to leverage industry and technology knowledge and experience to accelerate business results with senior level contacts of assigned technology partners

Proven ability to produce and deliver influential presentations to senior level audiences (internal & external)

Strong project management, business analysis, strategic thinking, interpersonal and communication skills

Consultative Selling and Win Partnership Mindset

Ability to work independently in a home office environment
