Description Use your skills as an Accounts Receivable (A/R) professional to contribute to a growing, dynamic company through Robert Half. You will be responsible for entering, posting, and reconciling batches, researching and resolving customer A/R issues, preparing aging report, placing billing and collection calls, maintaining a cash receipting journal, and updating, and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L. The team is growing quickly and needs a self-starter to become part of the accounting team! With high attention to detail, you will be processing full-cycle AP and handling a significant number of invoices per week. As the permanent Accounts Receivable Clerk, you will work in the Pingree Grove, Illinois region.Major responsibilities
Communicate with clients to settle payment issues and help create a payment plan
Support, communicate, and reinforce the mission, values and culture of the organization
Post and balance financial information in a number of ledgers while reconciling bank accounts
Validate documents and codes
Provide information as requested to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stake holders
Handle monthly closings and annual reports, including processing payments and compiling segments in compliance with GAAP
Follow standard procedures to perform basic accounting tasks, such as general accounting Requirements - Relevant experience in accounts receivable
Daily Cash Receipts experience desired
Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Knowledgeable of ERP systems
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field
Analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy
