job summary:
GENERAL SUMMARY: Network Deployment Specialist work with the client's Network Services implementation teams to install and configure communications equipment related to LAN, WAN, Voice, and Wireless. The Network Deployment Specialist will work at the direction of a Project Manager or Implementation Coordinator to complete the implementation of communication solutions in healthcare client environments. The position is client-facing requiring the ability to deal diplomatically with internal and external stakeholders in a potential high-stress, customer-oriented environment. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:- Associates Degree in a Network, IT, or Communications related field preferred.
- With the management of the project team, complete assigned duties including the deployment of network and communications equipment.
- With oversight and documentation, configure network and communications equipment.
- Basic troubleshooting of network, communications, and IT equipment typically requiring a general understanding of IT and communications networks.
- Effective use of the client's toolset to document project efforts, modify project-related documentation, and to communicate with project team and clients.
- Collaborate with project management resources to help plan for deployment or upgrade activities by providing input into project work plans, including the definition of key activities and tasks, allocation of resource time, and execution of activities in a timely manner.
- Implement new technology as specified in approved design documents in a manner that maintains a high degree of professionalism and customer communication along the way.
- Key efforts this position will be involved with include - wireless network deployments, LAN implementations and voice over IP telephony migrations. Cisco phone deployments.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of information technology at a level normally acquired through completion of an Associate's degree with concentration in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, or other closely related field is preferred.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to operate normal Microsoft and Web-based applications; including Microsoft Outlook, Teams, and Excel.
