QUALIFICATIONS/POSITION REQUIREMENTSThe qualifications/position requirements identified below list the skill level, ability and knowledge required to successfully perform the essential duties of the position. Reasonable accommodations may be made to allow individuals with disabilities to performing the essential functions of the position.KNOWLEDGE/SKILL/EXPERIENCEAssociated degree required as Physical Therapist.One to three years hospital physical therapy experience preferred.Knowledge of various types of physical therapy equipment in both the inpatient and outpatient areas.Must have an Illinois licensure or be eligible for Illinois licensure in Physical Therapy.Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy schoolBLS - American HeartANALYTICAL ABILITY/PROBLEM SOLVING/CLINICAL TASKSAbility to carry out patient exercise programs as directed by a Physical TherapistAble to deal with a variety of patient care problems using tact and diplomacy.Normal concentration required.Able to calibrate various types of physical therapy equipment.Ability to communicate effectively with the Physical Therapist.CONTACT WITH OTHERS (INTERNAL/EXTERNAL)Frequent contact with a variety of patient care staff (Nursing Department personnel and physicians).Continuous contact with patients and their families.SUPERVISIONDirectly supervised by Director of Rehab Services and assistant director of Rehab ServicesDoes not supervise others but may direct the work of Physical Therapy Aides.WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDSRefer to Frequency Factor Table on back page.Requires physical exertion and coordination.Working conditions are generally clean and comfortable.RESPONSIBILITY ACCOUNTABILITY FOR MONEY, EQUIPMENT, MATERIALS-SAFETY OF OTHERSResponsible for patient safety when performing physical therapy exercises on various equipment.Responsible for the proper functioning of various types of physical therapy equipment and the patient care area.Accountable for the patient outcomes assigned.Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age(s) of the patients served on the assigned unit/department, as indicated below.Health Advocates Network, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
