We’re looking for a driven professional with an inclusive mindset to join our team as an Associate Manager, Public Relations This Associate Manager, Public Relations will help build company awareness and maximize sales growth/profitability by supporting and implementing the brand’s overall PR and Events plan. They will serve as a liaison to media, influencers and agency partners to promote brand awareness through product placements, editorial coverage, media partnership, and events programming. This is a 4 day/week position based out of our Headquarters in Northbrook, IL A day in the life as an Associate Manager, Public Relations
Lead contract negotiation and yearly Service of Work (SOW) for Public Relations agency
Lead development, execution and analysis of public relations strategies by working in conjunction with the Public Relations agency and internal teams
Serve as key stakeholder and help lead project team to execute annual and seasonal media previews
Develop and oversee public relations and events strategies for product collaboration launches
Manage media interviews, product/image requests, support media outreach campaigns, community relations, crisis communications, collaborations and product integrations
Develop a yearly store events calendar as well as work with broader marketing, visual and store operations teams to oversee implementation and execution of events across all channels
Work to identify new retail partnerships that will help drive store traffic and brand awareness
Develop and lead store opening events in the U.S. and Canada
Oversee all associated vendor contracts, budgets and timelines
Provide project support for ad hoc public relations initiatives across all business channels implemented by the company
Manage store events coordinator
Create monthly departments product placement reporting
Help with strategy and lead execution of new store market launches
What you’ll bring to the table…
Excellent communication skills and a knack for aligning disparate agendas and groups
Develop and pitch public relations, events and new market launch strategies to executive stakeholders
Working knowledge of how to effectively promote/communicate events internally and externally across all channels
Ability to multitask multiple projects, manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced work environment, while maintaining high productivity and work quality
Manage complex projects on time, on budget and on goal
Ability to negotiate contracts with outside vendors and partners
Experience compiling and analyzing data to pull insights and trends

4 years of Consumer and/or Retail Marketing / Public Relations experience
Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience
Experience in executing events of all size and scale
Experience leading and managing the creative development process on a marketing team
