Learn more at www.averydennison.com.Job DescriptionThis position is 7:30am-4:00pm and the starting rate is $21/hr. and up based on experience.In this role, you will learn from experienced Electroforming R&D Lab Techs to be able to lead and support electroforming work. You will also learn to make test measurements to support the electroforming operation and other R&D areas. You will work under the leadership of an Electroforming and R&D Engineer and will be based at our location in Niles, IL. To be successful, you should have an aptitude for work with your hands, creativity, and a strong attention to detail. You should be proactive in applying your problem-solving skills.Responsibilities:
Maintain electroforming tanks
Prepare and inspect parts before electroforming
Set up and run the electroforming process
Separate and inspect parts after the electroforming process
Collect accurate test data using properly calibrated analytical equipment such as thickness gauges, photometers, etc.
Lead projects independently for the electroforming department
Work in a collaborative environment, engaging with R&D engineers and technicians
Assist when needed in other areas of R&D
Safety:
Practice all health and safety procedures, policies, and practices of Avery Dennison
Practice excellent housekeeping. Maintain a clean and organized work area
Attend all required safety training
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. A.S. or B.S. in related field preferred
Basic knowledge of chemistry and mathematics
1-2 years of electroforming or electroplating experience preferred
Proficiency in Google tools, MS Excel is a plus
Good communication skills
Reliable: arrive on time and meet deadlines
Able to collaborate and engage with co-workers as a team member
Able to lift up to 50 lbs
