Senior Systems Administrator

Description We are in need of a Systems Administrator for a contract role based in Naperville, Illinois. The successful candidate will be required to provide level 3 support and systems administration, contributing to various projects including migrations, updates, and the transition to centralized virtualization. This role will also encompass server and network projects, as well as tasks associated with cloud technology.Responsibilities: Providing level 3 support and systems administration Participating in a variety of projects including migrations, updates, and moving to centralized virtualization Working on server and network projects Leveraging knowledge of Cisco Technologies, Database, Linux Technologies, Active Directory, Backup Technologies, Computer Hardware, Configuration Management, Deployments, Virtualization, Microsoft Windows Server Employing basic knowledge of Cloud with AWS Ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of systems Identifying and resolving technical issues promptly and effectively Collaborating with other IT teams and professionals to optimize system performance Continuously updating skills and knowledge to keep up with the latest trends and best practices in systems administration Requirements Proficiency in Cisco Technologies is a must for managing network systems. A strong understanding of Linux Technologies is required for server management and troubleshooting. Experience with Active Directory for managing network users and resources. Knowledge of Backup Technologies for data protection and recovery. Ability to handle Computer Hardware for system upgrades and repairs. Proficiency in Configuration Management to ensure system stability and efficiency. Experience in Deployments for rolling out new systems and updates. Knowledge of Virtualization techniques to optimize server usage.
