Job Description

Presents a friendly, approachable, professional demeanor and appearance. Provides accurate information and timely updates to patients and customers. Addresses questions and concerns promptly, or identifies appropriate person and resources to do so. Performs phlebotomy and other lab specimen collections per age related standards. Orders laboratory tests per written physicians orders on appropriate requisitions and documents according to specific laboratory standards. Completes yearly competencies, including PT INR monitor timely. Completes laptop transfers at a minimum of two times per day 90% of the time. Enters mileage after each visit, on daily log and in time and travel filter. It is not acceptable to enter total miles at the end of the day. Completes MyLearning (e-learning) courses timely, 100% of the time. Communicates with staff and all agency departments to ensure optimal patient services. Checks voicemail messages at least 2 times per day, in morning before patient care begins, and at the end of the day after patient care. Completes visit information at point of service 90% of the time. Completes visit note within 24 hours of service 90% of the time. Submits daily logs, to the office, within 48 hours of visit completion. Clearly documents service provided and who service was reported to.

Qualifications

Required: High school graduate or equivalent. 1-year experience in similar position. Training in phlebotomy from an accredited school, or JCAHO accredited medical facility. BLS, PBT Certification, and Drivers License.
