Systems Administrator

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Systems Administrator in the Scientific Instrument Manufacturing industry, located in MOUNT PROSPECT, Illinois. As a Systems Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in managing our EDI platform and serve as the primary contact for this system. With a strong technical background, you will take on new tasks and continually adapt to the evolving needs of our operations.Responsibilities Assume the primary role in the management of the EDI platform, which will involve coordinating with the Accounting team. Serve as the main contact for all matters related to the EDI platform. Leverage your strong technical background to learn and take on new tasks. Ensure the smooth operation of our Microsoft Windows - client and server OS. Utilize Microsoft Office / M365 and SharePoint in managing tasks and communications. Manage Active Directory / Entra ID (formerly Azure AD). Employ your knowledge of JAMF / Intune, iOS/macOS and/or Android/Linux in relevant tasks. Use your experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry, to navigate and manage tasks. Apply ITIL/ITSM principles in daily tasks and operations. Support the ERP platform and manage or support the EDI platform. Leverage your knowledge in Agilent OpenLab and Serialization. Employ your skills in networking and network security, specifically with Palo Alto firewalls and Cisco Networking. Requirements Proficiency in Cisco Technologies and Cisco Networking Experience with Linux Technologies and Linux operating systems Knowledge and understanding of Active Directory Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Suites Experience with SharePoint management and operations Proficiency in JAMF Casper Suite and Jamf Pro Familiarity with Intune management software Experience with Android iOS and Apple iOS operating systems Understanding of ITIL - IT Infrastructure Library and ITSM Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems Familiarity with EDI - Electronic Data Interchange Experience with Serialization processes Knowledge of Palo Alto Firewall systems Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.® Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
