This position is within the Materials Research organization and they function mostly as a consulting team. They are the main service for materials-related issues across the organization. Customers or other internal teams may come to them with non-metallic materials issues– this individual will help to select the right material & if validation is required, they may tell the customer how to validate or even help validate it themselves (ex. Switching to non-metallic bonding joints, window bonding onto a doorframe using non-metallic materials/adhesives). This role will work under the direction of a seasoned-engineer, but will work towards more autonomy on projects.
