Join us.Job Summary:Global Category Buyer / Solutions Owner - Unformed Steel Analytics is responsible for managing and communicating key economic, market, and commercial data for Global Unformed Steel team. Interfacing with Global Unformed Steel Team, Global Business Resources, and Global Economics teams, this role is accountable to meeting key business timelines and providing consistent and accurate business analytics. This role provides supply network solutions, through a strong, demonstrated knowledge of global commodities markets, business analytics, key economic data, and related analytics and visualization tools to deliver maximum value.What You Will Do: Support the development, management and execution of global category strategies, by managing policies, agreements, source catalogs, and special procurement programs for Global Unformed Steel and steelmaking commodities. Recognize the potential for cost decreases, inventory reductions, and process quality improvements, as well as streamline and support sound business proposals and risk assessments. Act as the liaison between the Unformed Steel procurement team and internal business partners, communicating key business information regarding market demands, policy changes, and global economic conditions.Education Requirement:+4 Year Degree in Business or EconomicsWhat Skills You Will Have:Data Analytics: Advises stakeholders on the relationship between financial, performance, and operational data used in business data analytics. Anticipates operational challenges of data collection and its integration with decision-making. Identifies correlations that reveal trends and determine conditions. Evaluates the quality of data collected and the effectiveness of data analysis methods for evaluating business decisions and performance. Interprets potential risks, threats, and opportunities involved with predictive modeling. Directs the implementation of business data collection processes and educates other employees on new data sources.Interpersonal Relationships: Explains impact of interactions with individuals and groups. Demonstrates an understanding of alternative points of view. Collaborates with departmental associates and management. Adapts interaction style to situations and people.Contracts Management and Administration: Identifies key data and communicates risks and opportunities regarding relevant contracts for the department. Implements organizational protocols and procedures for contracts management. Assists in creating files of relevant information for specific vendors, customers, or contracts.Purchasing Tasks and Activities: Manages and effectively communicates key data and assumptions used in purchasing tasks and activities, such as commodity forecasts, market tracking, and trade data. Uses available procurement systems, market databases and tools; develops and manages data connections; develops and manages Power BI and Shared Data Repositories Ensures compliance with procurement regulations and contract specifications.Supplier Relationship Management: Adheres to organizational policies and codes for supplier relationship management. Communicates with suppliers about contract preparation and negotiation. Documents and analyzes problems and challenges in supplier relationship establishment and management.Strategic Sourcing: Supports various components of strategic sourcing, such as data analysis, market research and annual forecast budgets. Participates in enhancing institutional sourcing process continuously including and identifying improvement opportunities. Supports strategic sourcing activities in a global environment. Follows relevant standards, policies and practices regarding strategic sourcing. Assists senior sourcing professionals with strategic sourcing in multiple environments.Additional InformationThe location for this position is Mossville, ILRelocation assistance is not available for this position.
