This person will be responsible for driving strategic initiatives within the municipal segment, working with internal teams, external partners, and municipal clients to enhance service offerings and deliver effective solutions. This role involves understanding municipal needs, identifying opportunities for growth, and ensuring customer satisfaction while aligning with the overall business strategy. The role is perfect for an individual who is strategic, has a strong understanding of municipal operations, and is comfortable working independently to drive results in a dynamic environment.Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:
Segment Strategy Development : Work closely with leadership to develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for the municipal segment that aligns with overall company objectives. Work with the sales team to sign up channel partners with exclusive contracted territories where applicable.
Market Analysis : Monitor municipal trends, regulations, and market conditions to provide insight into strategic decision-making and business development.
Client Relationship Management : Build and maintain strong relationships with key municipal clients, understanding their challenges and working to ensure satisfaction.
Project Management : Lead or assist in the development and execution of key projects aimed at enhancing municipal service offerings and solutions.
Collaboration : Partner with cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, customer service, and product development) to deliver on municipal segment goals.
Performance Tracking : Regularly assess the performance of the municipal segment and implement necessary improvements to meet or exceed targets.
Communication : Act as a liaison between municipal clients and internal teams to ensure effective communication and timely resolution of issues.
Reporting & Analysis : Prepare and present regular reports on segment performance, identifying trends, opportunities, and risks.
Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:
Bachelor’s degree in, Sales, Business or Public Administration or a related field.
3-5 years of experience working with municipal clients or in a similar segment management role, and turbine or pump knowledge is a plus
Strong understanding of municipal operations, budgets and regulatory environments
Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to manage projects and work cross-functionally
Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data
Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
