Follow @abbvie on X, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn and Tik Tok (https://www.tiktok.com/@abbvie) .Job DescriptionThe Associate Director (AD) for RINVOQA Atopic Dermatitis (AD) will be responsible for key strategic initiatives for the brand including the annual strategic and tactical planning, competitive preparedness and field response, market research, message development, and segmentation. The AD will coordinate across both internal and external stakeholders to enable an integrated and successful go-to-market strategy to address the evolving competitive landscape and unique dynamics in the Dermatology market. Strategic elements of the role will include everything from deep understanding of customer insights through engagement strategies to marketing tactics. Partnering across functional teams and Immunology franchise, both US and International, will be critical to ensure successful implementation of tactics to drive RINVOQ AD business.This individual will report to the Marketing Director for RINVOQ AD.The responsibilities of this role are listed below but may shift based on business needs.

Strategic Plan Lead and Tactical Plan Lead – This individual will support the development of the annual strategic and tactical planning process for RINVOQ AD, including the synthesis of market research insights and complex clinical data that informs innovative tactical execution.

Sales Force Engagement – This individual will partner closely with the sales force and sales training to develop comprehensive and effective tools that will ensure successful competitive positioning of RINVOQ across strategic fronts, key stakeholders and patient types (MD/DOs, Advanced Practice Practitioners, Skin of Color).

Messaging Evolution & Segmentation – This person will lead the evolution of the brand story for RINVOQ AD including streamlining where possible. In addition, this person will be responsible for leading, developing, and executing segmentation for the first time within AD.

Execution of Professional Tactics – This person will execute, in partnership with the agency and MRL partners, professional tactics to support competitive education and response for the field team (ie, Supplemental Resources ISA, response handling, competitive workshops and field preparedness).

Strategic Communication and Performance Updates – This individual will support ongoing or ad hoc performance updates to internal leadership (ie, earning call process, ELT support) in partnership with the RINVOQ leadership team.

Market Research & MABI Liaison – This person will lead the market research planning and execution efforts along with our MABI colleagues.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field required

Pharmaceutical marketing experience

Proven ability to complete work product on-time with excellence

Positive attitude and proven ability to build strong relationships with peers, cross-functional and agency partners to enable higher performance

Excellent communication (oral, written, and presentation) and interpersonal skills

Strong planning and organization skills, attention to detail, execution, and accountability

Familiarity with Veeva and MR approval process

Preferred:

6+ years of relevant brand marketing experience

Strategic and tactical planning experience

Prior experience growing mature brands and/or in customer-facing activities

MBA or other advanced degree

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
