Employment Type:Full timeShift:Day ShiftDescription:Remote work availableThe Perioperative Business Analyst will analyze data and develop action plans to improve financial and operational efficiency in Surgical & Procedural Services. The Perioperative Business Analyst will work on projects related to OR throughput, block scheduling, supply chain management, revenue and expense monitoring, budget review, vendor contracting strategy, and information systems management. The incumbent must be comfortable translating data into operational insights and working with project teams to achieve shared objectives. The incumbent will demonstrate behaviors consistent with Lean thinking, continuous quality improvement, organizational change management, and customer service.

Develops reporting modules and provides effective and comprehensive operations data to perioperative leadership as their primary decision support tool.

Participates in lean six sigma management activities, and developsmonitoring tools to measure progress.

Develops working knowledge of surgical services information systems.Gains familiarity with reporting functions. Mines data to formintegrated reports to be shared with executive committees andperioperative leadership.

Demonstrates commitment to teamwork by contributing andcoordinating with other perioperative managers. Shows flexibilityaround assignments and proficiency with multi-tasking. Displays apositive attitude and organizational skills.

Supports key governance committees with ad hoc data requests andagenda items. Leads small project groups through analysis of policies,role responsibilities, and workflows.

Conceptualizes, develops, and implements various methods ofreporting for different levels of employees across the organization(i.e. Develops individual reports to surgeons on key performanceindicators).

Builds relationships and strategizes with other departments in theorganization to mine data not available in surgical services informationsystems.

Responsible for oversight of the pool of charge capture specialists to ensure that projects remain on schedule, billing timelines are met, and manpower is distributed appropriately based on departmental volume.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Information Systems, or Health Administration. Master's degree preferred.

3-5 years of previous job-related experience. 6-10 years preferred.
