Working at the foundry is hard work that demands focus and safety, quality, and commitment to helping our customers build a better world.With over 800 employees at the foundry, we are looking for someone who can support process development projects for the continuous improvement of the safety, quality, velocity and cost of manufacturing. This position would support the foundry manufacturing process for the melt department.LPSD currently has an opening for a Supply Chain Planning Manager. The Supply Chain Planning Manager develop, implement and support processes and practices to ensure a plan for all direct material to be appropriately delivered lineside to support the manufacture and delivery of products for the Mapleton Facility. This plan shall include safety stock calculations, maintaining inventories and ensuring that the materials are safely supplied to the point of use.What you will do:

Perform tasks to improve incoming and internal material flow

Participating/leading continuous improvement projects

Design and install FIFO process

Coordinating with sales, manufacturing and suppliers on short and long-term production forecasts and expected deliverables.

Managing relationships with internal customers, coordinating and integrating planning processes.

Developing and continuously improving the accuracy of logistical needs, including warehouse capacity, equipment needs and resource needs

Degree Requirement:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experienceTop Candidates May Have Experience in the Following:Extensive experience with Microsoft ExcelWhat you will have:Planning: Tactical, Strategic: Level Extensive Experience:Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.Effective Communications: Level Extensive Experience:Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP): Level Extensive Experience:Knowledge of the process, issues and considerations for systematically managing distribution of inventory for multiple plants or warehouses; ability to apply related knowledge and experience in real practice.Inventory Management MFG: Level Extensive Experience:Knowledge of processes and methods of inventory management; ability to effectively manage local or distributed inventories of raw materials, work-in-progress and finished goods.Logistics Management: Level Working Knowledge:Knowledge of logistics and management; ability to follow proper processes and run operations for effective and efficient movement of materials and finished products.Supply Chain Management - MFG: Level Extensive Experience:Knowledge of functions, principles and techniques used in supply chain management; ability to develop and use, strategies, practices and tools for controlling the logistical processes.Additional Information:
