Job Description
This position serves as the logisitcs liaison between customers, suppliers, shipping facilities and transport companies to ensure efficient deliveries.
- Coordinate transportation of orders by sea or truck.
- Negotiate rates, ensure accuracy in pricing, quantity and all other customer requested items on sales orders.
- Prepare dangerous goods documents and processes various forms of payment.
- Maintain document integrity and schedules.
Qualifications
- Prior freight forwarding ocean export/import experience preferred.
- Proficient with Maritime rules.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze, trouble-shoot and resolve problems.
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
