Position SummaryProvides direct supervision to the HMC department, including scheduling, prioritizing workflow, training, and developing team members to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency.Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe following reflects management’s definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned.  Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasonsSupervise all HMC employeesDocument employee performance; provide feedback, coaching, and discipline as neededReview and analyze data from ERP reportsResponsible for safety, quality, delivery, efficiency, and workload management within the departmentSchedule and prioritize workflow to meet production goalsMaintain tooling stock and order replacements as neededResearch and recommend new machining technologies and equipment upgradesPerform random quality checks on work in processSetup and operate machines as neededAssist the Quality Department as necessaryCoach, mentor, and develop employees for skill growth and advancementOther duties as assignedSupervisory ResponsibilitiesHMC Operators I, II, III; Team LeadsRequirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:Lift and move up to 50 pounds without assistanceStand for extended periodsWork EnvironmentMajority of work is performed in a manufacturing environment where temperatures may vary and noise levels can range from moderate to highPersonal Protective Equipment (PPE) required per company safety policies: safety glasses, ear plugs, gloves, and safety shoes
