Description:Managing timelines, customers interfacing role - you will be in charge of 3-5 accounts depending on account sizeCoordinating and communicating with teams in China and Malaysia a. Our engineers meet with China every other week on Wednesday nights at 9:00 PM b. One other call a week in the evening, more when they are about to launch or post launchThe primary responsibility of the PE-EE is to manage customer projects for contract manufacturing. (new product launches and engineering support for sustaining production) Approximately 90% contract manufacturing projects, 10% electrical engineering design and development support.
Knowledgeable in printed circuit board assemblies (PCBA) and soldering processes. Typically requires 4 to 7 years of related experience.
Create designs of PCBs is a plus. (Gerber file layouts, component placement, routing, constraints, manufacturing file creation, and related documentation.)
Molding experience is a plus.
Work in a collaborative team environment to review and analyze electrical schematics/supporting documents to interpret electrical design requirements.
Consult with customers, internal mechanical and manufacturing engineers to determine product requirements, post launch debug and cost savings opportunities.
Act as technical resource for product field support of customers, service personnel and field sales force, assisting in addressing and resolving problems. Provide excellent customer service.
Meet/exceed all schedule requirements for assigned projects.
Review and interpret customer specifications and sales agreements.
Evaluate and select electrical/electronic components for control systems. Initiate purchase orders.
Participate on cross-functional teams to address and resolve manufacturing, design and quality problems, and ensure the continuous, on-going improvement of processes and methods
Suggest ideas for new products.
Stay current in new developments in the industry.
