We currently have an opportunity for aMaterial Planning Leadto join our team located at our Company Headquarters in Lake Forest, IL.Your Role:As aMaterial Planning Lead,you will primarily be responsible for ensuring continuity of supply for key materials that are used in the production of our products by working with suppliers, the Materials Management team, the supply planning team, our production facilities and other supply chain partners. You will be involved in the commercialization of new products and will manage a team that interacts with suppliers to optimize production and inventory, while reducing risk of obsolescence. Manage, support, train and mentor Materials Planning Group employees

Develop strong working relationships with internal and external customers of the planning process

Improve planning results by identifying system configuration and process changes and implementing them to drive benefits

Build and support project plans and continuous improvement initiatives for both short and long term while evaluating impact of business driven go to market changes

Directly influence manufacturing decision makers by presenting options and recommendations

Ensure our manufacturing operations operate at peak efficiency by working with suppliers to ensure materials are available as required

Optimize materials inventory to support efficient production and strong case fill rate, while minimizing SLOB (slow moving and obsolete) risk

Ultimately, you will provide overall coordination for the implementation of Operational Excellence System ensuring all internal and external resources are aligned with the priorities of the business including, safety, quality, productivity, cost, and service. We need you to have:

BA/BS degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics or related field.

2+ years of related professional supply chain business experience.

Previous experience in procurement, materials management, production planning, scheduling, demand planning, or distributions operations in a multi-facility environment preferred.

Proficiency in MS Office with high proficiency in Excel, including ability to use pivot tables.

Proficiency in SAP a plus.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate and influence at multiple levels within the organization.

Self-directed style with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple accountabilities and multiple internal customers.

Strong analytical skills as well as organizational skills with high attention to detail.

Ability to identify, analyze and resolve problems logically and systematically.

Ability to work a flexible schedule during key business deadlines.

Ability to travel on a limited basis to our production facility in Appleton, WI.

Icing on the cake:

Working knowledge of SAP and strong understanding of ordering process

Customs Compliance Experience a plus

Ability to work with Filemaker database

Ability to work in Microsoft Excel

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong collaboration, team and communication skills essential

Proficient in MS Office
